East Birmingham Community Forum - Fully Funded Training
What is this?
East Birmingham Community Forum (EBCF) have supported job seekers and career builders across the Midlands for over 30 years. Their mission is to help individuals enchance their skills and access expert guidance to secure employment. They are the one-stop shop for information, advice and guidance on education, employment and training.
They are offering fully funded training opportunities, supporting both individuals and employers across Birmingham, Sandwell, and Solihull and have a range of courses for eligible residents (see cost section below).
For PAs we recommend the 2 courses below:
Health and Social Care Level 1&2
- Understand key roles and values in care
- Learn communication and health & safty basics
- Includes Functional Skills and IT Skills for Life
- Optional 'AI for Work' unit included
- Accredited through Pearson
- Prep in to work in adult social care
Duration: 9 weeks
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
- Enchance English speaking, reading and writing skills
- Cover Level 1 with progession to Level 2
- Optional 'AI for Work' unit included
- Accredited through Pearson
Duration: 9 weeks

How long does it take?
The courses all state they take between 4 to 9 weeks. Further conversation with the course provider is advised.
Cost?
The courses are free for those who are 19 years of age or above, a West Midlands resident, living in the UK for over 3 years, or have Indefinite Leave to remain in the UK.
Individuals under the Ukrainian settlement or similar scheme are also eligible.
