Carefree - Take a Break from Caring

What is this?

Carefree is a charity that helps full-time unpaid carers have a break from caring.  There are hundreds of hotels nationwide that donate a room for PAs so that they can have a 1-2 night hotel stay with a companion once per year. This can be at a time and place that suits you.

How long does it take?

There will be a registration process involved where you will need to provide proof of your identity and your caring status. The approval process will vary, so we can't give a definitive timeframe but the estimated time given by Carefree is five minutes.

There will be an initial questionnaire which takes 30 seconds to complete and then a section to upload your documents. You will need an email address to proceed.

Cost?

Carefree charge a £33.00 admin fee per break to help keep their Charity going.  PAs are responsible for paying their travel arrangements and other expenses.

Instructions:

To be eligible Carers need to be over 18 years of age and provide care for 30 hours or more per week.
