NHS Healthy Choices Quiz

What is this?

The NHS has officially launched the new NHS Healthy Choices Quiz. The quiz is designed to make it easier than ever for people to take a simple first step towards feeling healthier - especially those who may be unsure where to start.  Their new Campaign from 4 November 2025 launched with a new mascot 'Kenny the Hamster' and are encouraging as many people as possible to take part, there is no end date to the Campaign.

The quiz captures some basic demographic information and encourages users to reflect on their health motivations before guiding them through a series of lifestyle questions spanning six key themes:

  • Movement
  • Eating
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Smoking and Vaping
  • Mental Health
  • Sleep

Upon completion, users receive an overall score out of 10, giving them an indication of how their lifestyle may be impacting their health and wellbeing, as well as showing how they’re doing in each individual area.

Most importantly, the quiz provides personalised recommendations for any areas where changes may be beneficial. These include signposting to proven NHS apps, expert advice, and supportive resources, empowering users to make positive changes with confidence. There’s also an option to sign up to the NHS email programme for ongoing tips and support delivered straight to their inbox.
