Energy Saving Advice

What is this?

The Centre for Sustainable Energy is a national charity that helps people change the way they think and act on energy.

The website is split into three sections and within this resource we've picked out their home energy advice to focus on. You will find advice on paying energy bills, home improvements, renewable/alternative energy and plenty of tips and tricks to stay warm and save energy.

How long does it take?

There are a number of different articles on the website which you can read at your own pace.

There is a support section on signing up to the Priority Services Register where you can get help if your dependent on electricity or water for medical equipment or because you live with a disability. Examples could be during a powercut or where your water supply suddenly stops.

The signup form takes 5 to 10 minutes.

Cost?

Access to support and advice is completely free. If you choose to apply that advice then there will be situations where a cost will be applicable. Such as if you choose to purchase something based on the advice given e.g. a room heater. Cost will vary dependent on the supplier you choose.
