Exploring Type 1 Diabetes (In Comic Form)

What is this?
 

This is a series of comics created by Revolve Comics in collaboration with diabetes specialists in Portsmouth and Southampton with input from those who have type 1 diabetes. The comics look at the journey people with type 1 diabetes go through.

This is a fantastic resource for children and young people to resonate with someone who is going through a similar experience. It also helps PAs to improve their understanding of supporting someone with diabetes.

How long does it take?

The first and second volumes are 24 pages long and the third and fourth volume are 25 pages long. As it's in comic book form, most of the pages are taken up with illustration rather than lengthy paragraphs. You can read through them at your own pace. 

Cost?

The comics are free to access and read.
