PAs Eligible for Covid-19 and Flu Booster Jabs

It has been announced that all frontline health and social care workers are eligible for the booster jab for Covid-19.  This is great news for all PAs who can make sure they are protected against the worst effects of Covid-19 to protect both themselves, their families and the people they work for.

It is important to wait for six months after you had your second jab before booking the booster. Once this time has passed, you can book your booster simply by clicking on the link here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/book-or-manage-a-booster-dose-of-the-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine/

It is important to also remember that flu is still a serious illness particularly for people with health conditions, the very young and older people. Frontline health and social care workers are also eligible for the flu vaccine so book your flu jab with the your local GP or pharmacy.  For more information and a copy of a letter you can print off and get your employer to complete and sign, please visit the Wellbeing section of this website or see the Covid-19 section of the Penderels Trust website www.penderelstrust.org.uk

Everyone over 50 years old is eligible for both the Covid-19 booster and flu vaccine so please encourage the person you support to take up these vaccines if they are eligible.
