Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism

What is this?


A Level 2 certificate in Understanding Autism. The course is hosted by the Skills Network and offers a fully funded option for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria.

The criteria for joining the free course is as follows:

  • You will need an in-date form of Identification and your National Insurance Number. Any of the ID documents listed below are acceptable:

           - Driving License

           - Passport

           - Birth Certificate

  • You must be over the age of 23 years old OR over the age of 19 years old as of 31st August 2023. If you are aged 19-23 years old, then you may be subject to additional eligibility criteria related to your prior educational attainment.
  • You must have been a UK or EU resident consistently for the last 3 years and you must be currently living in England.
  • You must not be currently studying any other government funded course (you can only do one at a time).

How long does it take?


The course is estimated to take most people between 8 and 12 weeks.

If you have any doubts as to the timeframe before enrolment, then please discuss this with the course provider. They may advise that you enrol at the later date.

Cost?


The information you provide in the application form will confirm your eligibility to be funded – either fully or in part – by the ESFA or relevant combined authority.

Where your course is fully funded by the funding provider you will be exempted from all fees.

Where your course is part funded by the provider and part funded by The Skills Network, all course fees will be waived unless you do not complete your course. In which case they reserve the right to charge a £100 fee to cover lost funding, administration and resource costs.

The enrolment form has 6 individual sections which you will need to complete, including uploading your identification. This is to check that you are eligible and that you are who you say you are.
