SCIE - Infection Control

What is this?

Social Care Institute of Excellence (SCIE) is a Government-funded organisation and charity.  The aim of SCIE is to improve learning and development in the social care sector through training and resources.  There is a lot of useful information on the main website (www.scie.org.uk), including videos and free online training. There also some paid for training courses.

We like their Infection Control course which is a free, short online course. The course content is a mixutre of text to read, video clips and scenarios. There is no course certificate available.  This course covers understanding how infections spread and how to prevent it, hand hygiene, managing the care environment, managing laundry, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and understanding waste disposal.

The course takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Cost?
